Six days cycle

One of my friend called me about an invitation to a wedding ceremony. She had been troubled for a long time with decide the date for wedding, and finally she succeeded in persuading her and her fiance's family with great difficulty. The reason is because they are going to marry on a day of Butsumetsu.

We have 6kinds of days.These days originated from "rokuyou"-six days cycle.Each day has its advantages and disadvantages ,and Butsumetsu is consider to the worst day. So people avoid holding wedding on that day.Tomobiki is neither good nor a bad day ,but it literally means "Pull away friends" so people don't like have fenerals on that day. Others are Senpu-a day supposed to be unlucky in the morning and lucky in the afternoon ,Sensyou - a day supposed to be lucky in the morning and unlucky in the afternoon ,Shakkou - a day supposed to be lucky noon , Daian - an lucky day .　We have a deep- rooted influence ,even today
A cost of a wedding ceremony of a day of an unlucky day is usually set to a half of a cost,because most of couples don't choose the days.

友人から結婚への招待の電話がありました。日取りのことでずーーーと悩んでいたのですが、とうとう自分と婚約者の両親を説得できたそうです。理由は、彼女達が”仏滅”に結婚しようとしているからです。
六曜と言われる六種類の運勢が順番に毎日めぐってくるものがあります。それぞれに幸運、不運がついていて、「仏滅」は１番ダメな日にされて、みんなこの日に結婚式をすることを嫌います。「友引」は良くも悪くもない日ですが、文字通り”友を引っぱってしまう”ということで、この日にお葬式をすることは嫌われます。ほかには、午前中はダメで午後は良い「先負」、逆に午前中は良くて午後ははダメな「先勝」、正午のみ良い「赤口」、「大安」は１日中OKな日です。いまだ根強く信用されています。
仏滅の日の結婚式の料金は通常料金の約半分に設定されるくらいです。

私の友人は、そんなの気にせず節約したいのです。
