It's my life in Japan ! ⇒ in Thailand now!

Airplane and Shinkansen

I often go to tokyo for business trip recently.I always go by airplane ,but i came back to osaka by shinkansen(surper express train)today because i couldn't book any flight ticket i need.
One thing i couldn't understand is about security.
Have you taken an airplane recently?
Their security check is very hard. They ask"Are there any razors, spray, plastic bottles ane something metal?" and then they check all our baggages by special security machine.Us? We have to go through a body checker machine. If it goes off ,even because of a tiny neckless ,a security guard who has kept looking at us came up to us and check our body so carefully. You may feel like you are a criminal.
Because when it doesn't go off,i feel like i'm innocent! Yeh!
I'm sure that many countries care about safety measures very much.

How about shinkansen?

I can bring almost anything i want,of course razors, spray, plastic bottles ane something metal..even sword??What is the security check at an airport for? terrorists?hijackers?
I wonder who thinks terrorists never take shinkansen..
I 'm just wondering...

---------------------------------------------------

hello yukyey, from Dallas, yes, very tough security for airplanes, shoes off, hats off, belts off, they even undo your pants and look inside, ugh. no privacy anymore.

but, this is not everyone, maybe just the 3rd or 5th person each time. of course, all bags and stuff from pockets and purses.

what is 'shinkansen'? the train?

Thank you for your message.Shinkansen is a bullet train!it takes 2and half hours from Tokyo city to Osaka city by it.We chose airplene or shinkansen when we go to Tokyo!

LOL. Interesting observation about Shinkansen! It does seem absurd and strange that they don't perform security check when you board the bullet train. I took Shinkansen a couple of times between Osaka and Tokyo - cool experience!

WoW, a bullettrain, very fast and sleek I bet. Is it in a tube or on a track? How much money does it cost, is it expensive to ride? When you are in it, do you feel the speed? We need one in Texas, but they like fast highways and cars too much.

We feel the speed, but also we can enjoy to see the view outside. It costs about 270$ for round tickets and it takes 2and half hours.Everyone enjoy to eat Bentou(lunch box)!
