The person I respect

An excoworker who quit last December visited our office today.
I guess that he is around ......75years old.
He had worked more than 10years after He had retired　.
He was the toughest and most gentle at our office.

People says Japanese works so hard every day ,specialy his generation.
They don't have any hobby so they don't have nothing to do after they retire.
This is one of the Japanese issu.
Their wives don't want them around at home all day......

He is not like this kind of people.
He has drawn painting and taken pictures for more than 50years.
Actually he brought invitation cards for his painting exhibit that he and his friends hold every year.

Of course I respect my parents.
But He is amazing person I have ever met.
I wonder what makes him like this.....confidence? how he has lived?

今日は、去年の12月に退職した方が会社に来られました。
多分.............74歳ぐらいだと思います。
定年後も20年以上働いていらっしゃた方で、うちのオフィスの中で1番たくましくて、紳士的な方でした。

日本人は毎日毎日よく働くと言われますが、とくにこの方の世代はそうです。
趣味もなく、定年後にすることもなく。
社会問題の１つですね。
奥様達は、旦那様たちに１日中家をウロウロされたくないようです。

でもこの方は、そんな部類の方ではございません。
50年以上も、絵を描いたり、写真を撮ったりされているのです。
今日も、毎年お友達と開催している彼等の絵の展示会の招待状を私たちのために持参してくださったのです。

私はもちろん自分の両親を尊敬していますが。
この方は、今まで私が出会った中で1番驚くべき方です。
何が彼をそうさせるのか？自信でしょうか？生き方でしょうか？
